Use this 3-Step Pinterest Formula To Find an Engagement Ring
Who knew it could be so easy?
We love Pinterest because it’s the best idea book on the planet.
STEP 1: GET ON PINTEREST & PICK OUT FIVE PIECES OF JEWELRY THAT YOU LIKE
There’s 3,000 engagement rings but 3,000 can be overwhelming. So the biggest thing is to take the 100 percent and make it five percent as soon as possible. Then come into the shop with those five rings. From there, we ask the questions. Don’t tell us what you think we want you to say, tell us the truth. We’re good at pulling things out at people and showing them what we think they mean. We can only do that when they tell us the truth.
We know when you’re telling the truth because it’s a visual thing. We watch the way a person’s eyes go up, down or left or right or if their shoulders go up or down. How your body reacts to a thing is what we base it off of. You can’t lie about your disappointment or excitement. We hope people aren’t trying to be poker face. We need your real face. We need your response.
“I hope people aren’t trying to be poker face. I need your real face.
I need your response.”

STEP 2: TAKE THE 100 PERCENT AND MAKE IT FIVE PERCENT
Find your five percent by asking questions. Gold or white gold? Are you a modern girl or classic girl? Vintage or trendy? It’s easier to find out what you like by figuring out what you don’t like. You still have to try them on. There’s certain things you think will look good on you but don’t like once you try them on. You shouldn’t buy anything without trying it on.
STEP 3: THE THREE TOUCH RULE
Once you have your five percent, it’s a matter of the three-touch rule. Our bridal expert John Profit believes in psychology. He believes your brain doesn’t lie. The first time you put the one ring on three times is a sign. You brain will always go back to the one it loves. The one you love is the one you’re going to compare everything else to. You can’t help it.
BRIDAL IS FOREVER. You’re going to wear the same piece for 60 plus years. Bridal is important because it’s with you for so long. We want to help you get it right so you’re not wanting to change it on your 20-year anniversary. You might want to add to it later, but it’s still you. It’s you on your finger.
Pinterest is a great starting off point. The main purpose is to help you decipher your style, taste and preferences. Pinterest helps you find your five percent in the sea of stones. Then, it’s a matter of trying on, talking with a jewelry expert, and letting your body do that talking for you. Sometimes, you may surprise yourself with what you decide. Let Pinterest be the starting point, but not the ending point, of your engagement ring journey. Let the ring find you.
